Designer

Retrofete Inc. is hiring a full-time Designer position.

Job Duties:

1. Confer with the creative director and design team to understand business needs and deliver compelling design solutions to best meet those needs; (15%)
2. Gather information and material for various products including packaging structures, applied graphics, style guides and art direction of manufactured goods; (15%)
3. Produce high-quality design and typography to ensures our product is in consistent and with brand direction; (20%)
4. Utilize up-to-date technology and best practices to develop and execute a variety of digital and print illustrations, layouts, and production files by designing rough layout of copy regarding arrangement, size, and style first; (20%)
5. Follow established workflow and standard operating procedures to prepare final layout by marking and pasting up finished copy; (15%)
6. Stay informed about company products, current graphic design trends and tools, and industry developments that may lead to future visual communications opportunities; (10%)
7. Maintains technical knowledge by attending design workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional societies if necessary. (5%)

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Design, or related
• 18 months as Designer, Graphic Designer or related
• Knowledge of design and photo-editing software, such as Illustrator, Indesign, Photoshop, Lightroom, and typography skills;
• Understanding of design and production process from start to end;
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office;
• Knowledge of Kaledo and Nedgraphics
